There are only so many thing one should think about before any lighting purchase especially if you are contemplating whether to go with a set of Lamps or a single Chandelier. If you feel that lamps are your choice then you will want to take into consideration both the amount of floor traffic you have in that area and also of course the age of that traffic.
Yes, I said the age of that traffic. What does this mean, the meaning is the age of the people that will represent a good portion of the traffic that passes through that area. Why would this matter? Simple, children can easily pull down lamps but even the most industrious would find it challenging to reach a chandelier without help. Let’s face it kids are kids and they tend to not posses forethought until a certain age and then even some adults would still no get by in that regard.
This may also tell you the type of table lamp that you decide to go with. As an example; wooden lamps don’t need the constant polishing as do brass lamps if you have youngsters or toddlers with the propensity to touch everything and leave fingerprints on everything they meet up with. Now you will know that you have full coverage of light in your desired area and won’t have issues with the Tikes and toddlers.
