Worlds Oldest Piano Makers Changes The Designs Of Their Pianos

Pleyer Pianos the oldest piano makers are planning of redesigning their new pianos. Pleyer piano makers was established in 1757. It was established by Ignace Pleyel in 1757 and after his death in 1831 his son Camille took over the business. Pleyel pianos were small in size also very weird looking compared to the modern shaped pianos we see nowadays. The business is not doing so well because of the competition from Chinese and Korean piano companies. The Asian companies have more or less taken over most of their business. This is the reason why Pleyel are introducing the new shape and design of their new pianos.

Apparently the new innovative designs will be more attractive to their target audiences and they are hoping to increase their sales from it. Pianos has maintained the similar type of shape for many years and Arnaud Marion the artistic director from Pleyel wants his team to build pianos in an artistic way to attract the eyes of the audience.

This is interesting, he also said that the sales has gone down from 70’s and 80’s by a mile. In 1980’s they used to sell over 40,000 pianos and now they are only selling up to 8,000 pianos each year. So is this really because of the Asian piano companies from China and Korean or could it because the pianos designs have grown old.

In this fast moving World where new technology is introduced every day, it is very important to move along with the new change. Many instruments companies have done design changes to their products in last so many years. For example the shape of guitars, keyboard pianos, drums, violin and other instruments have changed from 10 to 20 years ago.

It is good that Pleyer are planning to do a new change, because it one of the recognisable companies in piano world. Many Pleyer resellers and fans are eargerly awaiting this change.

Piano Is As Ideal Gift For This Father Day

As Father’s Day is nearing I am thinking of getting my Father a new musical instrument he has been playing for a while now. My Father has been playing pianos ever since he was 5 years old – How I know this? My Granddad told me. For some reason I want to get him a Guitar. I think he still has time in him to learn a new musical instrument and on top of that I am tired of hearing the same piano sound over and over again. I don’t want to get him a piano as he already has 3 at home and I am sure mom will be complaining if he gets another one, as she is worried about the space it will use.

I have been playing guitar since I was young, so I think it’s time for me to switch to piano and him to switch to guitar just for fun activities really. I have been looking at getting acoustic guitars to buy. I began my playing days with acoustic guitar and I think because of its original sound acoustic is the best way to learn. Acoustic guitar has taught me a lot and because of that now I can play any guitar whether it’s classical, electric or bass.

He has been playing piano since he was a kid. Nowadays he transfers what he learnt to education and gives piano lessons to kids in schools and colleges. It also makes it easy if you have a keyboard piano you will be able to carry it anywhere. I want to start doing something like that in few years, it will also help my financial situation with a little bit of income coming towards my household. If we can get few customers together then we can open up a father and son guitar and piano teaching business (obviously the name won’t be that long). Learning two different instruments in this case would be very useful.

Don’t be surprised if you a see a band called “Father and Son” in Britain’s got talent in few years, playing different instruments one by one, that would be quite hilarious and surely can be classed as a talent.
